Sour Pumpkin Juice

Merlin’s Beard! A lot of people seem to be drinking sour pumpkin juice this week. I wondered when I wrote my post: Rowling Outs Dumbledore! just how long it would take for the negative press to start rolling out… Not long.

Someone from Time contacted me a couple of days ago with a story about how Dumbledore should be put back in the closet. Talk about sour. You can do a google news search and pull that article up yourself if you’re truly curious. A quick news search will actually pull up a lot of articles written by sour pumpkin juice drinkers right now.

Whether or not anyone clued in over the course of the books that Dumbledore is gay isn’t the point. One can go for years without knowing that type of thing when it comes to real people.

The way I see it is this: Dumbledore is a fictional character. Moreover, Dumbledore is J.K. Rowling’s character.

Personally, I like it. Its a delicious and welcome development about a favorite character.

All this heated discussion and serious articles questioning the outing of Dumbledore is starting to get as boring as Professor Binns’ History of Magic classes.
