Swedish Survey Says: Yes to Gay Marriage

Nearly three quarters of Swedes are in favour of allowing homosexuals to wed, according to a poll published today.
Since 1995, Sweden has allowed gays and lesbians the right to civil unions which grants them the same legal status as married couples. However, a push has been on to eliminate the distinction between hetrosexual couples and homosexual couples and to grant full equal rights.
