Homophobic Buffoons of the Month

WTF?!You know, I’ve never really given Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain) too much thought but it occurs to me that he found himself in a situation where he just couldn’t please anyone and that he couldn’t deal with that…

That thought came to me when I read that Heath Ledger was found dead earlier this week.

That thought also occured to me when I read that members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., are trying to find out where Ledger’s funeral and memoria will be held so that they can picket it. They’re also ready to picket the Oscars.

Yes, this would be the extremely homophobic, fundamentalist church founded by that hateful man known as Fred Phelps. They’re famous for picketing funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq, pride events, productions of The Laramie Project, and more…

To pursue Heath Ledger even after death is distasteful in the least but then this bunch of homophobic buffoons aren’t known for being tasteful or for charity and love.
