Last year, I wondered if my favorite gay knight, Ian McKellen would be returning as Gandalf in the new movie, The Hobbit. The news is Yes indeed! Well to be a little more accurate, Yes, probably.

Ian McKellen wants to reprise his role, (and it is indeed his role) — and chances are looking pretty good that he will indeed be doing so. McKellen is quoted as saying that director Guillermo del Toro told him he would be playing Gandalf again.

McKellen’s publicist though is being a kill-joy and has warned that final arrangements were yet to be made. Or in other words, nothing’s been signed on the dotted line.

The Hobbit is slated to start filming in New Zealand sometime next year.
