New York, NY — For the fifth consecutive year, Centaur has produced the Official CD for the internationally acclaimed week of celebration known as Gay Days. Gay Days is a total gay and lesbian vacation experience, comprised of multiple events in and around Orlando’s greatest theme parks, nightclubs and attractions. Party Groove: GayDays Vol. 5 is mixed by DJ/producer Randy Bettis and will be on iTunes and in stores June 3.
“We are very excited about our fifth annual Gay Days CD,” says Chris Alexander-Manley, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Gay Days, Inc.. “The CD has been a wonderful way for our guests to remember their magical vacation every time they listen to it. We are also proud to partner with such a great community supporter like Centaur.”
Party Groove: GayDays Vol. 5 includes some of the biggest songs of the year and new remixes of many classics, creating the perfect fun-filled, feel-good summer mix. The dance remixes selected maintain a great energy and familiarity throughout including “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” from American Idol’s Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, and Ari Gold’s newest single “Where The Music Takes You” (#1 Song of the Year on MTV’s LOGO). Remakes of classic radio hits include the year’s biggest import hit “Bleeding Love”, plus “Hot Suff,” “Ride On Time”, “Could This Be Love,” and “Broken Wings.” Bettis also includes new songs from #1 artists Brian Kent and Danielle Bollinger, as well as the infectious new hit “Live Your Life.”
“With each yearly Gay Days CD, my goal is to create a musical journey that evokes the spirit of the Gay Days experience,” says DJ Randy Bettis. “The excitement of arriving at sunny Gay Days, delight in the diversity of the LGBT community, and heading home with a renewed joy for living.”
DJ Randy Bettis is scheduled to spin live during Gay Days at the Pool Party on June 7 at the Royal Palms Hotel to promote the new CD, with a live performance from Brian Kent and Jason Walker. Gay Days participants wear red and are encouraged to be seen. Local businesses, from Disney World to area bars and restaurants open their hearts and minds specifically to the gay community. Dance parties, swim and cruise events, park visits and nightly bar specials make this event a major destination for the summer of 2008.
