Lesbian Scene Heats Up in Barcelona

This summer, the Lesbian Scene heats up in Barcelona, at the Girlie Circuit Festival — August 4th to 11th.

Girlie Circuit Festival in BarcelonaGirlie Circuit Festival is the first international lesbian rally, born to offer lesbians, bisexual,trans and their friends all we have ever dreamt of: a week of sun, beaches, leisure and culture 100% for women by women. Thought of as a yearly event, Girlie Circuit means to break with commonplace clichés about lesbian leisure and to bring forward a quality holiday option engineered by girls and for girls from all around the world to enjoy. There will be no excuse to say “nothing ever goes on in the lesbian scene”.

Girlie Circuit Festival works also as a meeting point for lesbian, bisexual, trans, gender benders or plainly free spirited girls from all over the world; a place to mix and mingle, talk, have fun, make a bunch of new friends… or whatever it is that comes up. During a full summer week, Barcelona will become the international lesbian capital… a unique opportunity to enjoy seven days of high profile, absolutely crazy, L-Word style girlie fun!

Nighttime:

From August 6th to 11th the festival will hold 9 different venues of international level with the backup of the best Spanish and European promoters. Naturally, regarding artistic line up, you will be able to enjoy the best Dj’s and performers on the international panorama and guest names that will raise everything but indifference…

Daytime Events:

During the daytime hours you’ll be able to find a great deal of possibilities… the first lesbian and gay day at a huge waterpark (you should have your swimsuit, bikini or shorts sorted out by now, girls!), the première of “Monólogos de bollería fina” (first lesbian monologues in Spain), the most important collective art exhibit on gay, lesbian and transgender issues, a mini cinema festival with the best homosensitive flicks (”Fucking Amal”, “Love Sick”, “Shortbus”…), debates, talks and surprising workshops on lesbian sex.

It makes no difference if you’re butch, femme, younger, older or simple not one to be labeled. Whatever ground you stand in, Barcelona will become your spot during a whole week. Because we believe every girl is different and there are as many lesbian types as lesbians you can find.

To make things easier, the event is providing access to hotels, apartments and a flight selector… so you don’t have to worry about logistics and concentrate on enjoying!
