Here’s the gay and gayish headlines and gossip that have caught my eyeballs over the weekend:
Starting of in Politics:
- Over in England: David Cameron’s rising star Nick Herbert ‘marries’ his boyfriend
- East Coast of the U.S. : In New Jersey, Push for Gay Marriage Meets Election Considerations
- In Washington D.C.: A Local Gay and Lesbian Band is to March in Inaugural Parade
- On the other side of the U.S.: Openly gay mayor sworn into office in Portland Oregon
Law, Politics & Adoption: In England, Half of the Roman Catholic Adoption Agencies Will Obey Gay Adoption Rules
In Celeb News:
All weekend I’ve been captivated by the Travolta family tragedy. I started out reading the news about this story at Yahoo! News and it’s affiliated sites. They were interesting and puzzling. And then I somehow ended up at Gawker and read this story: Jeff Kathrein Travolta’s Rumored Gay Lover Discovered Dead Son.
Now although this story did answer one of the puzzling questions I had about the whole tragic story it also raised another question — namely: Do I actually care if John Travolta has a gay lover? My answer for that currently is that I probably don’t.
I think, if I’m concerned about anything regarding this whole story, it would have to be along the lines that the Mirror is voicing: Riddle of John Travolta’s son – could he have been saved?
