10 Headlines for Thursday

Ten headlines for Thursday that are brewing in the media and blogosphere this week.

A Growing Disatisfaction:

- David Mixner is calling for a March on Washington (For Marriage Equality and The Right to Serve specifically. I would suggest for Queer Equality right across the board. Although, I see the point of keeping the march focused to one point. And instead of November; much sooner.)

- A new gay rights group has emerged: www.thedallasprinciples.org.

Marriage & Politics — Problems:

- Reuters reports: Gay-marriage bill stalls in New Hampshire.

- The Daily Kos Observes/Vents: NH Governor John Lynch, Profile in Cowardice, Kills Marriage Equality.

- Emma Ruby-Sachs: Obama, Don’t Defend DOMA.

Celeb Viewpoints: Marie Osmond: So what if my daughter is gay?

Military Viewpoints / Theatre: Viewing war through a gay ex-Marine’s ‘Eyes’.

Workplace Equality: Gay US diplomats to get equal benefits: lawmaker (Well maybe. Also of note…”The funding bill calls on US diplomats to encourage other countries to revise laws that restrict consensual homosexual relations or limit the freedoms of gay people and groups.” Excellent idea. They should also put this into practice at home.)

Queer History:

- Larry Kramer on: Homo Sex in Colonial America (I hope he publishes his book one of these days.)

- Did Shakespeare Want To Suppress His Sonnets? (To Surpress or Not To Surpress…Is but one of the questions.)
